GDB:
GDB is known as Discussion Board or Graded Discussion Board.
How to prepare and submit GDB:
Concerning Virtual University, The weightage of GDB is 5% of the total marks of your subject. This discussion is based on facts that are logical in nature.
Preparation Guidelines for GDB:
Firstly we need to read the instructions given as a question file and then using our own words we need to prepare a solution that fulfills all the requirements according to the instruction before submitting comments as an answer. For having a better solution to obtain good grades we don’t only have to rely on university-relevant handouts but also have to read reference books, watch videos of lectures, and can also get advantage from the material present over the internet related to that specific topic.
Using an LMS login provided by university students would be unable to submit GDB at the online GDB portal as a comment presenting an answer.
Submit:
Follow the mentioned steps to submit GDB.
- Go to the relevant book in your LMS.
- Click on the GDB portal.
- Now browse GDB.
- Now the loaded question will show the question or instructions statement of GDB.
- Post message.
- Click on submit button.
Important Instructions or Precautions:
- GDB will be open for 5 days or 120 hours.
- The opening and closing time is Specific. No extra time or Grace time will be given while submitting the GDB.
- MDB (Moderated Discussion Board) and GDB(Graded Discussion Board) will run at the same time parallel to each other. The answer must be submitted over GDB, not at MDB otherwise, no grades or marks will be given, so a lot of care must have to be needed while submitting the solution.
- After the due date, no discussion participation will be open.
- For having the latest updates to plan graded activities of the semester in an organized manner, students must have to visit their schedule portal time by time for course-relevant updates on Quizzes, GDB, and assignments.
- The solution-relevant content of GDB posted by students at the MDB portal or via mail will not be replied till the last date or due date of GDB.
- GDB solution must be clear and concise comprising 5 to 7 lines.
